Seattle Seahawks Satisfactory Offseason

The Seattle Seahawks offseason has been anything but spectacular.  The signing of Mike Wahle, an old veteran guard recently released by the Panthers, is the highlight of the Hawks offseason.  Wahle is one of Holmgren’s guys from his days in Green Bay so he believes he will get the same out of him in Holmgren’s last year as head coach.

Besides the signing of one guard, the Seahawks have done nothing to ensure the future of the organization.  Valuable starters as well as backups have been ignored and let go.

Clutch kicker Josh Brown has just signed with the NFC West rival St. Louis Rams and versatile linebacker Kevin Bentley has done the same with the Houston Texans.  The Seahawks are now without a kicking game in a time when there are no quality kickers available.

If one word could describe the Seahawks running game last year, it would be disappointing.  After breaking the single season touchdown record, Alexander has never gone back to his MVP rushing season that led the Seahawks to the Super Bowl.

Since the Seahawks haven’t filled vital needs in Free Agency, they better do great in the draft.  Otherwise, we are destined for another underachieving fall season.
