Seattle Seahawks back to Championship form

The Seattle Seahawks have, in my opinion, solidified there season run to the championship with a great win against the Washington Redskins.  The Redskins had played on pure emotion from the time their teammate died and it finally caught up to them.

The Seahawks played most of the game in a controlled manner, not allowing emotion to cloud the gameplan.  Matt Hasselback managed the game well and although he didn't play his best, he did just enough to get the win.

The real stars of the game were the Seahawk defense.  No matter the situation they played some of the best defense of the weekend.  Only showing about two minutes of momentary mental mistakes that allowed the Redskins to get back into the game but other than that they completely disected the Redskin offense to near uselessness.

The Seahawks' maturatiy won the game and now they move on to Greenbay and face the Packers.

  1. Hey Chris, nice observation on the Seahawks wildcard win over Washington this last season. There was no secret the Redskins were playing for their friend Sean Taylor, purely off emotion. But Seattle was the better team from the kick-off, especially Julian Pederson and Patrick Kerney, who were absolute forces and made it difficult for Todd Collins, creating a ton of pressure in the Washington backfield. Just too bad they ran into snow at Lambeau Field the next week against the Packers. I swear if it hadn't snowed and the conditions were clear, the Seahawks would've managed the 14-0 early lead and maybe won the game.
